Which types of mobile devices can I use with the People Tally Counter App?

Our App has been developed for Android mobile devices.
So you could use smartphones like this, for instance, but also Android tablets and mini pcs can be compatible.
We actually tested these devices:

  • Samsung GT-S5280
  • Samsung GT-I9100
  • Samsung GT-I9300
  • Samsung GT-P5210
  • Samsung SM-T110

Since the great variety of models and operative system versions, we strongly suggest to access our Google Play page with your device, to install the app and to verify the compatibility.

Which types of photocells can I use with the People Tally Counter App?

We suggest infrared sensors (e.g. these) to improve the counting accuracy.
N.B. Cables must be connected to the Normally Open contact of the photocells relay.

How can I connect sensors to the mobile device?

The current version of the App supports data input via the audio socket of the mobile device, via bluetooth connection and usb cable.

How much does it cost?

Check our solutions and accessories pages to realize how cheap it can be.

If you prefer to make do, prices strongly depend on which type of items (device, sensors, etc.) you want to use and on what you already have, then the total amount can fairly vary from 0 (zero) up to 100 or maybe 300 USD (plus some time spended in doing so).

A smartphone can be purchased at about 65 USD, a couple of photocells can cost about 25 USD, the audio input adapter can be found at 8 USD, but of course you could find cheaper prices or face high shipping cost or customs tax. Check our Starter Kit if you prefer to get all with one click.

The monthly fee to subscribe to the (optional) Advanced Statistics Online Service is only 8.00 €, but we suggest you to check our subscription page because we often propose promotional offers to save your money.

What is the Advanced Statistics Online Service?

It's a personal online service located in your reserved area (login requested) of this website where you can access specific statistical analysis of the data uploaded by your mobile devices.

What about the risks for the device?

If you're worried that unauthorized people could tamper with the device (or even steal it), there're some solutions you can implement to prevent problems.

Since there's no particular place where the device must be put, just avoiding to leave it on view is the first rule of thumb: it can be hidden in a work bench or put in a box and hung up near a cashier, for example.
If you want to avert laying cables while placing the device far from the sensors, use the bluetooth port for the connection.

Furthermore, the device must not absolutely be a smartphone: Android mini-pcs can be used as well, and they could appear less... tempting to spiteful persons.

Eventually, set up the password option (from the Settings Screen) to protect the app from accidental taps.

Where can I find the App Code?

The numeric code of the App installed in your device is located in the Settings Screen of the App.
Warning: deleting the app local data from the device settings menu causes irrecoverable loss of stored data and reset of the app code.

I've just subscribed a plan but I can't access my advanced statistics: why?

Your Advanced Statistical Services will be available as soon as our system receives an authorization code from Paypal. Generally it takes few seconds, but it can happen that sometimes a longer time is needed.

If you moved from the Subscription Complete page of this website, please try to logout and then to sign in again.

What is the conversion rate?

It's the fraction (or percentage) of visitors who turned into paying customers, and it allows to measure the sales performance.
The conversion rate can be obtained by the ratio of receipts to visitors, and it's an important key performance indicator to evaluate the success of a business activity.
